Full-frame. Fisheye. The Sigma 15mm f/1.4 DG DN Diagonal Fisheye | Art lens

Sigma unveiled a pair of lenses on two very extreme ends of the spectrum today.

Ultra-fast, ultra-sharp, and covering a 180 degree field of view, the Sigma 15mm f/1.4 DG DN Diagonal Fisheye | Art lens is the first of its kind. The 15mm | Art will be available in E-mount soon at a Mike’s Camera near you.

Sigma hopes to redefine what a fisheye lens can do with this one. Unlike most, Sigma’s new 15mm | Art lens is exceptionally sharp across the entire 180 degree field of view. Aberrations and distortions have been meticulously corrected, especially sagittal coma flare. Boasting 21 elements in 15 groups, including 4 FLD, 3 SLD, and 2 Aspherical elements, the 15mm is carefully designed for optimal astrophotography, but it’s up to doing so much more.

This “made in Japan” lens’ high build quality and thoughtful features like a rear filter holder, lens warmer retainer, manual focus lock, and Arca-Swiss mount demonstrate Sigma’s commitment to professional use of its Art lenses, especially the f/1.4 series. The High-response Linear Actuator AF system, like the one found on the new 500mm f/5.6 DG DN OS | Sports, is fast and accurate, and the lens is fully compatible with AF assist on Sony cameras.
