New Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 lens for full-frame Sony introduces unprecedented all-in-one brightness

The seventh full-frame E-mount lens by Tamron is coming to the market June 25th, 2020. The lightweight 28–200mm f/2.8–5.6 Di III RXD has the widest maximum aperture of any all-in-one lens* and will start at $729.99.

As if the outstanding maximum f/2.8 aperture wasn’t enough, here are a few more reasons to get excited about this one:

  • Super compact: only 4.6″ long and weighing about 1.25 lbs
  • 7.14x zoom range covers an impressive variety of needs
  • 7.5″ minimum focusing distance at 28mm (1:3.1 magnification)
  • 31.5″ minimum focusing distance at 200mm (1:3.8 magnification)
  • RXD motor offers fast, silent auftofocus

As with the rest of Tamron’s FE lineup, the lens will be sealed for moisture resistance and have a 67mm filter thread (meaning you can use the same filters and other accessories on all seven lenses).
