Nikon’s now-standard customizable control ring is, of course, present, and the manual focus ring offers precise, linear control. An AF system driven by stepping motors is almost silent (for the videographers among us) and focus breathing is optically suppressed. The center of gravity also shifts only minimally, making this a great choice for on-gimbal use.
