Nikon news: the D6 and two new Z lenses coming this spring

Hot on the heels of the announcement of the D780, Nikon has announced the successor to 2016’s D5: the D6! They’re also broadening the range of native lenses for the mirrorless Z system with a fast 20mm lens and an all-in-one (24–200mm). Check out the promo videos and product photos below.

If you’re in, be sure to contact your local Mike’s Camera or click the links below to pre-order as soon as possible. The new gear will be available to the first folks on the list in April!

The D6

  • 105-point, all cross-type AF system with 17 custom group-area patterns
  • 14 fps shooting with AF/AE tracking
  • Native ISO up to 102,400
  • 3580 shots per charge
  • Weather-sealed
  • Built-in GPS
  • 1000-base T-wired LAN
  • Innovative flick operation

As the D5 was before, the D6 is definitely aimed at professional shooters. The “flick” control system makes it easier than ever to highlight the shot and streamline networked shooting, ensuring the fastest possible delivery to a client.
