Howdy, folks! I’ve just got a quick note for you this morning. If you’ve got a Sony RX10 IV (DSC-RX10M4), you’d best boogie over to Sony’s website and download the latest firmware update—a full digital increment from the originally-installed 1.0 to version 2.0. You’ll see general stability improvements as well as major improvements to AF performance. Specifically:
Benefits and Improvements
- Adds real-time Eye AF for animals (Photo mode only)
- Enables the possibility to operate the real-time EYE AF by half-pressing the shutter button
- Improves the overall stability of the camera
NOTES:
It is not possible to detect simultaneously human and animal eyes. Eye detection may not be possible depending on the environment, animal type or the movement of the animal.
