PSA: Important Sony firmware updates

Back in October, Sony released firmware version 2.0 for the α7 III and α7R III, but some users encountered a rare data corruption issue when shooting RAW on certain memory cards. The update was pulled at the beginning of the month, with a replacement promised mid-December. True to their word, version 2.1 arrived recently. If you updated your camera between October and December, it is strongly recommended that you update as quickly as possible, just in case! The updates are available at the following links:
