The 94° field of view is dynamic but not distorted and distracting, and focusing can be done as closely as 7.08″—a dramatic nearness for a wide-angle lens like this. Its f/2.5 aperture is plenty bright for beautiful bokeh and low-light performance, and at only 0.31 lb, you won’t even notice it in your bag or on your little LUMIX camera.
You won’t notice the space it takes up, either, at only 1.61″ long and 2.56″ in diameter. Filters can be shared between multiple complementary LUMIX S lenses with a common 62mm size, which is a nice touch for economy of both dollars and space.
