Explore freely with twin telephoto titans

Serious reach is coming to portable packages near you: at a fraction of both the cost and heft of their f/2.8 and f/4 versions—but retaining the breathtaking resolution, superb sharpness, and exquisite bokeh expected of the G Master series—Sony’s newest primes are primed for on-the-move adventure and mobile mastery.

The FE 400mm f/4.5 GM OSS and FE 600mm f/6.3 GM OSS are each the all-time lightest in their class, weighing almost exactly the same at 35.1 ounces. Their lightweight, carefully-balanced frames are ideal for handheld wildlife shots, smooth video pans, and extemporaneous action grabs. Two XD Linear Motors drive quiet, responsive, accurate AF, even at 120 fps… which means that they can also keep up tracking in 4K 120p recording. Videographers will note that Sony has suppressed focus breathing on these top-tier telephotos, too.

Optically, both feature 3 Super ED elements and Nano AR Coating II, which heavily suppresses flaring and ghosting as well as chromatic aberration. Physical controls include four customizable focus hold buttons, customizable function ring, focus ring, AF/MF switch, DMF switch, focus limiter, OSS on/off, and OSS mode switch, rounded out with fluorine coating and dust-/moisture-resistance. And, before you ask, of course they are both compatible with Sony’s 1.4x and 2x teleconverters.

Get ready to bring a whole lot more of the wilderness within reach. By this time next month, you could be deep in the woods, wetlands, or anywhere weird grabbing jaw-dropping frames at will. Click the links below to secure yours today!
