Up to $100 savings on Gather Boxes? It’s time

We’ve all got hordes of photos. And we’re all guilty of not looking at them as often as we should. And some of us get really excited to look at someone else’s old photos… especially when the “someone else” is a relative, for whom those photos are precisely the hordes of which they are guilty of not-frequently-enough considering. It’s a vicious cycle! Why not be one of the people to break it?

Mike’s Camera offers a really cool service called the Gather Box. What you physically take home is an empty box (roughly large enough to fit 1,500 4×6 photographs) but what you’re buying is completely new life for the images you knew would one day be precious when you took them. Digital copies of your family photos are invaluable—they’re so easy to share, manipulate into humorous greeting cards, browse on the bus, and so on. Plus, thanks to internet transfer services, you can make infinite copies to share with loved ones for free.

Now is the time to strike, whether for your own shoebox archive or as a gift for that shutterbug cousin.

All month long, each Basic Gather Box is only $199, offering a savings of $50. This gets you a 300 ppi digital scan of whatever fits in the box. For only another $50, the Gold Gather Box ($249, saving $100 each) bumps that up to 600 ppi, enabling you to make reproductions up to four times larger with no loss in clarity. At either level, the joy of resurrecting hundreds of memories in one swift move is hard to top. Why not give it a try? Click here for more information. You can order boxes online, or stop into any Mike’s Camera and load up. We’ll be offering this February promo for an extra day this year, but once March 1st hits—that’s it!

    1. All originals are returned, of course. We take special care that they come back to you in the condition in which they were dropped off. As for black and white photos, do you mean the color mode embedded in the file? That is technically “color,” but the images are still black and white. If there are any special photos you need colorized, we do offer that service. When you drop off your scans, chat with any of our imaging experts to get a price estimate and describe exactly what colors you want added to the image(s).
