The approaching excellence in your imaging is palpable! Read on for more detail about each of the new products.
EOS R6 Mark II

Canon’s newest full-frame mirrorless camera body updates 2020’s EOS R6, which itself was something of a rebirth of the EOS 6D Mark II.
The EOS R6 Mark II is built around a new 24.2 MP full-frame CMOS sensor and the mighty DIGIC X processor, which enables it to automatically detect people, animals, and vehicles as subjects. 1,053 AF zones cover 100% of the frame, making autofocus fast and accurate so you can focus on creating.
One of the most striking new features is Stop Motion Animation firmware, which enables stop-motion oriented features such as increased live view resolution output to compatible software (like Dragonframe) and aperture lock. I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing more stop motion animation out there in the world! Let’s hope it gets some traction.
As far as regular video is concerned, the EOS R6 Mark II offers a solid 6.2K-oversampled, uncropped 4K 60p maximum spec, and you can record video continuously (at a lower resolution) for up to six hours. Full HD can be recorded at up to 180 fps for when you need to sloooow things down, while 30 fps RAW capture with pre-shooting will help you nail down the decisive moment in still images.
5-axis in-body image stabilization (which can work in sync with compatible RF lenses) enables smooth movies and crisp photos, which you can examine at your leisure on either the 3″ 1.62-million-dot Clear View LCD II Vari-angle touch LCD or 3.69-million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder. And you can even use the EOS R6 Mark II as a webcam or live streamer! Click here to pre-order now.
RF135mm f/1.8 L IS USM
While similar on paper to one of the EF lenses for Canon’s DSLRs, the RF135mm f/1.8 L IS USM is actually a totally new optical design. In addition to occupying a much smaller form, the RF135mm utilizes the latest in Canon’s lens technology and sports built in optical stabilization rated at up to 5.5 stops (compared to no stabilization in the EF version). Two independently customizeable buttons on the barrel make merging with your gear in the heat of creation easier than ever. Click here to secure yours today!
Speedlite EL-5
Finally, we have a newly designed flash unit. The EL-5 brings together some of the flagship Speedlite EL-1’s features with a few newly developed ones in a smaller, more affordable frame. The EL-5 includes a modeling lamp and can recycle using its rechargeable battery (good for ~350 flashes) as quickly as 1.2 seconds. The EL-5 features the EL-1’s joystick and selection dial to make control a breeze. Click here for more details or to pre-order.
