Everyone’s favorite event for free photography fun is coming around again! Round out the end of your summer by joining us at one of three great locations to try out more gear than you can shake a stick at, with no additional cost after admission to the Gardens/Zoo.
How it works
We’ll have a row of tents set up inside the Denver Botanic Gardens (9/7/19), Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (9/8/19), and Sacramento Zoo (10/13/19), from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Under those tents will be a treasure trove of bodies, lenses, tripods, and more, all of which you are welcome to use at no charge. Leave a valid government-issued photo ID and valid credit card with us, and you can put your dream gear to the test for an hour at a time. At the end of the hour, just check back with us and you can swap out to try something new or, if no one’s waiting on your kit, you can take it out for another hour.
We’ll also have a few lenses in the $10,000-and-up range stationed at roving Picture Points, where attendants will let you attach a body and experience an altogether higher tier of pro lens technology. A schedule will be available at the Demo Day tents so you can plan to test this extra-special gear at your favorite spot.
You’ll need to bring your own memory cards, but you can be sure that the pictures you’ll bring back on them will be well worth it!

- Manufacturers’ reps and imaging experts from Mike’s Camera to help you maximize the opportunity
What you’ll bring
- A valid, government-issued photo ID
- A valid credit card (returned, uncharged, upon safe return of equipment)
- Memory cards appropriate for the type of camera(s) you’re interested in trying out—most likely SD, but possibly CF, microSD, or XQD. If you’re not sure what you’ll need, consult mikescamera.com or give us a call!
