Yesterday, Tamron Lenses USA officially announced the development of three exciting new lenses. Without further ado:
17–28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD (#A036)
- Designed natively for Sony full-frame E-mount
- Smaller, lighter, and wider than the Tamron 28–75mm
- Completely weather-sealed
- Fluorine coating on front element for effortless cleaning
- Slated for delivery in the first half of 2019
35–150mm f/2.8–4 Di VC OSD (#A043)
- To be available in Nikon F-mount and Canon EF-mount
- With a unique range, this lens is appealing to portrait photographers with a diverse style (can anyone say “background compression?”) as well as travelers interested in a medium-range all-in-one
- Completes the “Traveler Lens trinity,” along with the 17–35mm f/2.8–4 Di OSD and 100–400mm f/4.5–6.3 Di VC USD—a kit of lenses designed to cover the maximum range at a high quality, while remaining compact and inexpensive
- Completely weather-sealed
- Fluorine coating on front element for effortless cleaning
- Release TBA
SP 35mm f/1.4 USD (#F045)
- To be available in Nikon F-mount and Canon EF-mount
- The culmination of 40 years of SP-designated technology (“Superior Performance”) by Tamron
- Designed from the ground up with a bokeh focus
- The goal? The best 35mm lens for 35mm full-frame photography produced in the modern era.
- Release TBA
