The much-loved Tamron 18–300mm f/3.5–6.3 Di III-A VC VXD, already available for Sony E-mount and Fujifilm X-mount, is bringing that beautiful 16.6x zoom range to the Canon RF-mount and Nikon Z-mount. It’s an all-in-one APS-C zoom lens for all kinds of photography—zoom from one creative possibility to the next.
The lens is designed for cameras with APS-C sized sensors and offers a minimum focusing distance of only 5.9″ (an unbelievable 0.2″ working distance) in addition to a 27–450mm full-frame equivalent field of view. The resulting 1:2 magnification at the wide end of the lens is quite impressive for an all-in-one lens. Tamron’s well-respected Vibration Control technology certainly helps as well.
The VXD linear motion AF system is super fast and super precise, offering performance as satisfying as that broad field of view. Thanks to aspherical elements (and other special lens elements), BBAR-G2 coating, and more image quality is top notch across the whole image field.
