Spruce up your camera kit: TRADE IN days draw nigh

It’s a special time of year and we’re committed to providing you with the photographic excitement you crave, no matter what. This year, we’ll be scheduling a trade-in extravaganza at every store! Sell us your used gear outright, or get an additional 10% bonus value toward an exciting new purchase or a Mike’s Camera gift card.

To make sure we can do it safely, the event will be sign-up only. Slots are available every 20 minutes, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Click on your store in the schedule below to register for your time slot. Hope to see you there, upgrading to the gear you truly need.

The rules are simple:

  1. Once you’ve decided to move on to bigger and better things, grab your camera and as many of its accoutrements as possible—cables, manual, even the box (if you still have it).
  2. The camera must be fully-functioning, and it must include a battery and charger at minimum. There is a loophole, however! If you’ve lost the battery or charger but it’s one that we have in-stock, we can still offer a (reduced) trade-in value.
  3. Bring everything you rustle up to your appointment with one of our experts.
  4. Any gear that we accept can then be traded in for an agreed upon amount. We’ll add 10% to the assessed value if you choose to use it towards a purchase at Mike’s Camera.

      1. Dustin- all the times are filled for the Boulder location. I am in Loveland. What do you suggest so I can do this?

  1. I was hoping to book a slot at either Lonetree or Denver and all Slots are booked do you anticipate having other dates in the future or could I make an appointment to bring in equipment on another day?

    1. Marjorie, we appreciate your interest but I’m afraid we can only accept equipment brought into one of our stores.

  2. Looks like I got this too late to sign up for today. 🙁 Hopefully y’all will do this again soon in Sacramento.

  3. I have a fully function D80 and a D90.. Are those available for trade-in? I am hoping to apply the valuse towards a D750 or D850

    1. We would certainly consider them for trade-in, but someone will have to check them out in person to determine a value.

    1. I apologize for missing this beforehand. We did hold the trade in event after all, but we will try to do another one soon.
